Bug Bite!

I’ve officially been bit…by the running bug. I have done 5Ks over the years. And I usually rarely train for them. I joined a Ragnar Chicago relay team for June 2016. Since I started training 11 months ahead of time, I signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15K in November this year. I wake up super early so I can stretch out my back and my run done, before my 5 AM boot camp. If you told me even 4 months ago that I’d run, essentially, in the middle of the night, 4-5 days a week, I’d of called you CRAZY. I have a few people to thank. I belong to a local Mothers Run This Town group. I thought I’d do a few stroller runs with them and be sure to convince them cross training is important. Instead, I have met up with them once in like 3 years. I told Cynthia when a free Ragnar spot had been available that I thought too late to take it. She told me to never miss the opportunity again .Next thing I know a few friends from mentoring and I are registered for the next Ragnar. I feel pretty good post run, however, 5.5 miles is my longest run to  date. I will be sure to keep you updated on my journey to my personal best health.
Have you ever done a Ragnar before? Anything I should know about training?
