Almost 59 Miles in 8 Days

I started the year with lofty goals, and now it already is not going as I had thought and hoped. And it is only January. I am already re-evaluating if my goals are achievable. The best thing about Plan A not working, is there are more letters in the alphabet. On to Plan B.

Not the Year I Envisioned

Healthy Weight Loss and Maintenance Each individuals journey is personal and specific to them. What worked for me, or is working for me, may not suit your needs. I can only offer my take on what has worked. You can try it or tweak it and see if you are as successful. Know thyself, if you want to improve oneself!

Healthy Weight Loss and Maintenance

Keeping busy keeps me on track. I am a self motivator, so all I need to do is find the right activity that keeps my interest. This spring my activities will be a dance show, the Avon breast cancer walk, and the Ragnar Relay from Madison to Chicago. I had my first injury set back in January. And had my first motivation set back once I healed. I am hoping for an uneventful rest of my training, but only time will tell.

Back in the Swing of Training

I love when Gretchen Rubin talks about the four tendencies. One is not better than the other, but if you don't utilize goal setting habits suited for your tendency, you will not be good at achieving your goals. We cannot all follow a cookie cutter plan to achieve a healthy lifestyle. And once we "reach" the lifestyle, we still need to grow or we will become stagnant.
